Austin High School claimed the District Title in the Journalism Team standings on Saturday at the UIL meet at Dulles High School.
Dan Garcia led the way by winning the headline competition. Also, David Zhao won the Editorial competition for the 2nd straight year.
Those two will go to regionals next week along with Chris Long, who took third in Editorial.
Helping the team with important points were Marc Estil who finished fourth in Headline, Brian Magloyoan fourth in news writing, and Momena Shah sixth in feature writing.
