AlcoholEdu for Parents helps parents have a more effective conversation with their teen regarding underage drinking.  The course uses videos, interactive exercises, and only takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.  Find out more HERE.

 
 
Students-if you are looking to make a change to your schedule-you must download the Schedule Change Request form and return it to the counseling suite with a parent signature. 
 
 
1st Semester:     

September 1, 2011 - Last day to change to a new course.  Note:  These changes will only occur if:
1.  There is an error in the student schedule.
2.  The student took the course in summer school which constitutes a change.

September 16, 2011 – Last day to drop a course with a failing grade with no impact on UIL eligibility (A student who drops a class with a failing grade after the end of the fourth week is ineligible. A student may drop after the second or third week, or during the fourth week and retain eligibility.)

October 28, 2011 - Last day to change a level and/or drop a course for a study hall, off campus (12th grade only) or office aide (11th and 12th grade only).  This is the last opportunity to drop a full year course.

2nd Semester:   

January 17, 2012 - Last day to change to a new course.  Note:  These changes will only occur if:
1.  There is an error in the student schedule.
2.  The student took the course in summer school which constitutes a change.

March 9, 2012 - Last day to change a level and/or drop a course for a study hall, off campus (12th grade only) or office aide (11th and 12th grade only).

Full year courses can only be dropped during the 1st semester.

Course selection will be online this year.  Counselors will be meeting will all students to demonstrate the online registration process as well as to review graduation status information.  All students will have this information by Monday, February 14th.  Please ask your child to share this information with you.  In addition, please visit AHS web for information that was addressed.  Online registration will run from Friday, February 18th-Sunday, February, 27th. 
 
 
Aggieland Saturday is an annual campus-wide open house for prospective freshman and transfer students and their families. During this one day, you can meet current students, tour the dorms, visit libraries and computer labs and see what Texas A&M has to offer you. You can also learn more about our colleges and majors, get information about admission and pick up some financial aid and scholarship information, too.

Students in grade 11 are eligible for ONE state-funded college entrance exam, either the ACT (with or without writing) or the SAT.

Eligible test administrations for each exam are as follows:
ACT

April 9 (registration deadline March 4)
June 11 (registration deadline May 6)
SAT
May 7 (registration deadline April 8)
June 4 (registration deadline May 6)

In order to register for an eligible test administration, students must obtain an exam voucher from their high school counselor (office 201). 
Vouchers will be available on a fist come first served basis.
